"If not now, when?" states one of the many signs next to Tulum's main beach road.
It pretty much sums up why @byevamaria and myself decided to head to Tulum for a short break, just the two of us.
This blogpost is by no means the ultimate guide to Tulum (plenty of blogs about that btw), no, it's just an overview of what we did (and didn't do) in the six days we had....
I love Brussels, you probably know that. ;-)
I just love wondering around in this fascinating city which can be both ugly and beautiful at the same time. And each time I go, I discover something new.
So when I got invited to come and try out its newest boutique hotel - the Pillows Grand Hotel Place Rouppe, I naturally was very pleased....
The Hague, Holland's political capital and one of our favourite Dutch cities.
We visited several times before and each time we discover new, interesting places....
Last Friday, Sunny Cars invited me to go on a roadtrip through Warwickshire, in the heart of England.
Being a real England-lover, as you could already read here and here, I naturally was very excited!
We flew in the morning from Brussels Airport to Birmingham in less than an hour.
Sunny Cars had three great cars for us ready and waiting....
Needless to tell you all I quite like Instagram... ;-)
I love taking pictures with my phone and sharing them with you all. I myself follow around 900 people simply because all of them inspire me in some way or the other, every day again.
This is why I've decided to share some of my favourite Instagram accounts with you all from time to time. Making a selection was incredibly hard, but I tried so... here are my first twenty:...
My wife and I were invited to try out a new hotspot in Antwerp, Hotel Franq.
It is located right in the heart of the city, only a 5-minute walk from the Cathedral....
When the misses and I were young... hm, I mean, younger... we used to travel to the UK a lot, especially the South of England and the West Country, we even honeymooned in Cornwall. But somehow we lost sight of this beautiful country the last 15 years (busy travellling the world and so on... ;-)), except for our yearly trips to London, of course. Last year, we picked up on our tradition again and went on two trips, one to Rye and one to Canterbury. For this year's family trip, we decided to visit the lovely seaside town of Whitstable, which is only a 45 minute drive from Dover. We drove the car on the ferry at Calais and enjoyed a wonderful sunny crossing on board of one of the P&O ferries, called 'The Spirit of France'. An hour and a half later, we were already were admiring the famous White Cliffs of Dover. I completely forget how much fun it is to arrive in England by boat!...
Every summer there is one week that all three of our kids are out of the house all together (scouts camp) and usually the misses and I take that chance to get away just the two of us. It is sometimes good to get away together... I think the fancy term for that is 'to re-connect' once in a while. ;-)

As I already mentioned in one of my previous blogposts, I simply adore Spanish cities. Barcelona has been a long-time favourite of me and the misses and we visited several times. It's always nice to go back and discover new and exciting coffee bars, lunch spots or just walk around in this charming city by the sea....
