Niks leuker in de herfstvakantie dan een paar daagjes gaan 'uitwaaien', toch? Wij trekken tijdens deze periode meestal naar Holland of we steken zoals nu het Kanaal over! We besloten ons nieuwe 'busje' eens uit te testen en reden er eerst mee naar Calais waar we onder een stralend zonnetje de boot opgingen....

The 5 best things about Europa-Park in Rust, Germany

If you have kids like we do, theme parks come into your life at some point or the other, whether you're a big fan or not. ;-) So like any other family, the past few years we went on day trips to Plopsa, the Efteling, Bobbejaanland and so on and so on... Last week however, we were offered the chance to discover one of Europe's biggest and best theme parks, Europa-Park in Rust, Germany. Although the Park has been voted Europe's favourite theme park for several years in a row now... we had never heard of it... All the reason to go and see what is was all about! From where we live, it's a five and a half hour drive to the park. To know if we liked it or not... you'll have to read on!...

A few days on Crete

Crete is a wonderful island to visit. The landscape, the beaches, the laid-back style, the food… Last summer we flew from Eindhoven to Chania where we rented a car and drove to our rental apartment in the quiet seaside town of Kissamos. The apartment (called Kallimento) was quite new, beautifully decorated and had three bedrooms and a nice terrace. The young lady in charge of it, is really friendly and helpfull! It doesn’t come with a pool, but is within easy reach of a number of stunning beaches. There is a local supermarket within walking distance which makes it easy to prepare a nice lunch at the apartment, should you want to do so....
