Nothing nicer than to just pack up and head to the Dutch coast for the weekend. End of October, early November is always a wonderful time to just stroll along the sandy beaches, clear your head and hang around in a cosy coffee bar and eat ‘poffertjes’.

This time around we headed to Kamperland in the beautiful Dutch province of Zeeland, which is only a short drive away from Antwerp. The Roompot Beach Resort Kamperland offers everything you want for a mini-getaway.

Our holiday cottage was right on the beach and had three bedrooms so it could accommodate our large family easily. It also had a reasonably equipped kitchen and came with its very own ‘bolderkar’.

The only thing we didn’t like was the fact that the living space felt a little bit cramped for five people. The Wi-Fi was working well so that was definitely a bonus. 😉

The holiday park had a lot of facilities such as a supermarket, several playgrounds and of course an large indoor swimming pool, which the kids (and myself) enjoyed thoroughly.

The beautiful towns of Middelburg (great for shopping!) and Veere (such a charming little place, you will love it!) make for great trips during your stay.

And spotting a nice retro-ride always makes my day.
To end… let met me share a great place to go for coffee with you… Expresszo! (Middelburg) Great coffee and a cosy spot for a quick lunch or some nice afternoon treats.
